Placido Rogerio Pinheiro obtained the B.S. (1979) and Licentiate (1984) degrees in mathematics by the Federal University of Ceara, Ceara, Brazil, and in electrical engineering (1983) by the University of Fortaleza, Fortaleza, CE, Brazil, the M.S. (1990) degree in mathematics by the Federal University of Ceara, Ceara, Brazil, and Ph.D. (1998) degree in systems engineering and computing degree by the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro, Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. Currently, he is a Titular Professor of University of Fortaleza and Associate Professor of the State University of Ceara. He has experience in industrial processes modeling applying mathematical programming and multicriteria. His academic formation allows publishing in applied mathematics area, with an emphasis on discrete and combinatorics mathematics, working mainly in mathematical programming and multicriteria.
