Reinout Kleinhans

Reinout Kleinhans is Associate Professor of Urban Regeneration and Neighbourhood Change at the Faculty of Architecture and the Built Environment, Delft University of Technology. His research interests and expertise include urban regeneration, social capital, citizens’ self-organisation, collective efficacy, and empowerment. He holds a Ph.D. degree in urban geography sociology and is a highly experienced (international) project leader. He has published 30 peer-reviewed journal articles and 15 book chapters and has also coedited several books. He is a board member of the Knowledge Centre Liveable Neighbourhoods in Rotterdam. Previously, he was a Research Fellow of Community Development at the Erasmus University Rotterdam, Department of Sociology.
