Saiprakash B. Venkateshiah obtained his MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical College, Bangalore, India. Subsequently, he obtained his M.D. degree from Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education and Research, Chandigarh, India. After completing a residency program in internal medicine in India, he completed a residency program in internal medicine at Cook County Hospital, Chicago, Ill, USA, and then a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine at Cleveland Clinic, Cleveland, Ohio, USA. He is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine, critical care medicine, and sleep medicine. He is currently an Assistant Professor in Pulmonary, Critical Care and Sleep Medicine Division at the Department of Medicine at Emory University, Atlanta, Ga, USA. His areas of interest include medical education and his research areas of interest include positive airway pressure delivery options for obstructive sleep apnea.
