Eva Ekvall Hansson

Eva Ekvall Hansson, was born in Malmö, Sweden in 1962. She received her M.S. and Ph.D. degrees from Lund University, Sweden in 2001 and 2006, respectively. She became an Orthopaedic Physiotherapy Specialist in 2002 and a Physiotherapy Specialist in primary health care in 2008. Since 2006, she has been a Researcher and Teacher at Department of Clinical Sciences in Malmö/General Practice, Lund University, along with clinical work as a Physiotherapist in primary health care. As a teacher, she is responsible for courses in research methods, both at the medical program at Lund University, campus Malmö, as well as courses at advanced level. The research field is vertigo and dizziness, mainly focusing on vestibular rehabilitation. Other areas of research have been patient education for osteoarthritis and physical activity on prescription. Another field of interest is higher education, especially education in research methods. At the health care center where she works, she has a small balance-laboratory and assesses and treats patients with vertigo, dizziness, and balance deficits.
