Bruce D. Alexander

Bruce D. Alexander is the Principal Lecturer in physical chemistry at the University of Greenwich, London, UK. Following a degree in chemistry, he obtained a Ph.D. degree in the spectroscopic analysis of electrocatalysts at the University of Dundee, UK. He then went on to work with Professor Jan Augustynski at the University of de Geneva, Switzerland, developing thin film semiconductor electrodes for solar hydrogen generation. Following a brief spell at the Aberdeen University he moved to the University of Greenwich in 2007. Bruce is a chartered chemist and a Member of the Royal Society of Chemistry, the International Society of Chemistry, and the European Photochemistry Association. His interests are in solar energy conversion, spectroscopic analysis, photochemistry, computational chemistry, and the structural analysis of peptoid foldamers.
