Thomas Pollmaecher received an M.D. degree and serves as a Director of the Center of Mental Health, Klinikum Ingolstadt, Professor of psychiatry at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich, and Research Team Leader at the Max Planck Institute of Psychiatry, Munich, Germany. He is Board Examined in psychiatry and sleep medicine. Professor Pollmaecher is active in sleep research since 1985 and published more than 200 papers on sleep in psychiatric and neurological disorders, on the interactions between sleep and the immune sytem in health and disease and on psychoimmunology of depression and schizophrenia. He is a Long-Standing Member and Current Past-President of the European Sleep Research Society (ESRS).
