Ravhi S. Kumar received the Ph.D. degree in high-pressure physics from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India, in 1999. He has worked in several areas of condensed-matter physics which include structural, electronic, and transport properties of high Tc-superconductors, iron pnictides, thermoelectrics, strongly correlated electron systems, and hydrogen storage materials. He serves as a Co-PI for UNLV DOE Nevada Stockpile Stewardship program and is a corecipient of UNLV President’s Research Award. He is also a Coinvestigator for the ARPA-E project ($2.5 million) for the development of novel antiperovskite lithium battery materials. He is currently working as an Associate Professor at the High Pressure Science and Engineering Center, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV, USA. He is also a Member of Sigma Xi and American Physical Society. He has published more than 75 peer-reviewed articles in highly reputed international journals and presented in 80 international/national conferences.
