Rosihan M. Ali

Rosihan Mohamed Ali is Professor of mathematics at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM). He completed his Ph.D. in 1985 at Texas Tech University, Lubbock, TX, USA, under the supervision of Professor R. W. Barnard. He specializes in the area of geometric function theory (30CXX). Ali is the Editor-In-Chief of the Bulletin of the Malaysian Mathematical Sciences Society published jointly with USM. It is currently indexed in the Science Citation Index Expanded and Scopus. Ali has served as President of the South East Asian Mathematical Society (SEAMS) for the 2008-2009 term. He is now its Council Member. Ali has served as USM's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic and International Affairs) from 2005–2007. He is one of two Senate-Elected Representatives to the University Board of Governors for 2011–2014. Ali is also a Member of the National Science and Research Council, Ministry of Science, Technology, and Innovation Malaysia (2011–2013; 2013–2015). In 2008, Ali was inducted as a Fellow of the Academy of Sciences Malaysia (FASc). With the consent of His Royal Highness the Sultan of Pahang, Ali was awarded the Darjah Indera Mahkota Pahang (which carries the title Dato') in May 2006 in conjunction with His Majesty's 75th birthday celebrations.
