François Septier

François Septier received both the E.E. and the M.S. degrees in digital communications, respectively, from Telecom Lille 1 and the University of Valenciennes, France, in 2004. In May 2008, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in signal processing - electronic from the University of Valenciennes, within both the Institut d'Electronique, de Microélectronique et de Nanotechnologies (IEMN) and the Communication Systems Department of Telecom Lille 1. Since March 2008, he is a Research Associate in the Signal Processing Laboratory at the Cambridge University. He works in the areas of statistical signal processing, especially on Monte Carlo methods, applied to digital communications (compensation of phase distortions, including phase noise and carrier frequency offset, in multicarrier systems) and also to multitarget and cloud tracking.
