Chang Wook Ahn

Chang Wook Ahn received the B.S. and M.S. degrees in electrical engineering from Korea University, South Korea, in 1998 and 2000, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Department of Information and Communications, Gwangju Institute of Science and Technology (GIST), Gwangju, South Korea, in 2005. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Illinois Genetic Algorithms Laboratory (IlliGAL), University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), in 2003. From 2005 to 2007, he was a Research Staff Member at the 4G Communication Research Group, Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology (SAIT). From 2007 to 2008, he was a Research Professor at GIST. Since 2008, he has been with the Department of Computer Engineering, Sungkyunkwan University as an Associate Professor. His main research areas are evolutionary algorithms, machine learning, and intelligent wireless networks. In particular, he has been working on estimation of distribution algorithms.
