Rodney J. Dilley received a Ph.D. degree from the University of Western Australia, Perth, WA, Australia, for his work on vascular graft pathology. The focus of his research has been on the pathophysiology of cardiovascular disease, including research at the University of Washington, Seattle, WA, USA, and Melbourne’s Baker Institute on cardiovascular growth in hypertension, diabetes, and atherosclerosis. He now leads tissue engineering research at the Ear Science Institute Australia, Subiaco, WA, Australia, where novel in vivo models use adult stem cells and novel scaffold materials for vascularized tissue repair. Dilley serves as the Leader of the Tissue Engineering Group at University of Western Australia, Perth, WA, Australia.
