Hernán Trimachi, Ph.D., is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, Fellow of the American Society of Nephrology and a Member of the Steering Committee of the IgA Network. He is interested mainly in homocysteine, inflammatory biomarkers and chronic hemodialysis, cardiometabolic disturbances, and adipokine interactions. He has more than 40 manuscripts indexed in PubMed/Medline. His areas of expertise include glomerulonephritis, hypertension, metabolic disturbances in hemodialysis, acute kidney injury, homocysteine, and oxidative stress. He was appointed as the Chief of the Nephrology Service and the Kidney Transplant Unit at Hospital Britanico, Buenos Aires, Argentina. He serves as Professor of medicine at Argentine Catholic University and University of Buenos Aires.
