Katerina Stamatelatou

Katerina Stamatelatou obtained her Diploma and Ph.D. degrees in optimization of anaerobic digestion reactors from the Department of Chemical Engineering, University of Patras, Patras, Greece. She is a chemical engineer. She has been an Assistant Professor in the Department of Environmental Engineering, Democritus University of Thrace, Xanthi, Greece, since 2010. Her field of research includes the study of the toxic effect of xenobiotics on the anaerobic digestion process, the mathematical simulation of the process, the design and optimization of anaerobic systems for biogas, and/or hydrogen production from model compounds and wastes.
