Vasileios A. Karyotis

Vasileios A. Karyotis received the Diploma degree in electrical and computer engineering from the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Athens, Greece, in 2004, the Ph.D. degree in electrical and computer engineering from the same university, in 2009, and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, PA, USA, in 2005. Since 2009, he acts as a Research Associate with the Network Management and Optimal Design (NETMODE) Lab of NTUA, Greece. His research interests span the area of modeling and performance, evaluation of computer and communication networks, with emphasis on topology control and resource allocation in wireless multihop networks, stochastic modeling, and analysis of malware propagation in wireless networks, the interactions between communication and complex social networks, and wireless ad hoc cognitive radios. Karyotis was awarded a fellowship from the Department of Electrical and Systems Engineering of the University of Pennsylvania (from 2004 to 2005) and one of two departmental fellowships for exceptional graduate students from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering of NTUA (from 2007 to 2009). He has served on the TPCs of ICC since 2007, GLOBECOM since 2008, and more than 10 other IEEE, ACM, and ICST conferences.
