Professor Hso-Teng Chang is now an assistant professor in China Medical University Taiwan. He earned Ph.D. degree in Molecular Biology and Bioinformatics in National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan in 2006. He recently focused on biomarker studies on motoneuron disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis. He discovered the level serum autoantibody against human endogenous proteins may serve as serum biomarkers for ALS. For example, autoantibody against high-motility group box-1 was correlated with disease progress of ALS. He now focuses on the G72 function in ALS. G72 may serve as a factor to promote the progress of ALS.
