Hongxing Dai (H. X. Dai), Doctor (Hong Kong Baptist University, 2001), Postdoctoral (University of California at Berkeley, Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory, 2002-2003), Professor in Catalysis (Beijing University of Technology, 2003-present). Prof. Dai focuses his research interests on (i) preparation and catalytic hydrocarbon conversion; (ii) developments of three-way catalytic converters for automotive exhaust removal; (iii) catalytic decomposition of nitrogen oxides and their selective catalytic reduction; (iv) total oxidation of hydrocarbon and volatile organic compounds over the transition-metal oxide and perovskite catalysts; and (v) controlled synthesis and applications in heterogeneous catalysis and photocatalysis of porous materials. Up to now, Prof. Dai has published over 150 articles in internationally renowned journals, over 150 articles or abstracts in conference proceedings, and more than 80 articles in cored Chinese journals, and obtained 44 authorized Chinese Patents. Prof. Dai has also written one chapter in an English book (“Perovskite: Structure, Properties and Uses”) and 6 comprehensive review articles. Prof. Dai is now a member of editorial boards of “The Open Catalysis Journal”, “Current Catalysis”, “The Scientific World Journal”, “International Journal of Environment and Resource”, and “Journal of Applied Chemistry”. Prof. Dai is also a member of “The Catalysis Society of China” and “Environmental Catalysis and Environmental Materials Committee”. Prof. Dai has served as the peer-reviewer of a number of international journals, including J. Catal.; Chem. Mater.; Inorg. Chem.; J. Phys. Chem. C; Chem. Commun.; Environ. Sci. Technol.; Appl. Catal. B; and Appl. Catal. A.
