Giuseppe La Torre

Giuseppe La Torre serves as an Associate Professor of public health in Department of Public Health and Infectious Diseases at Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy (since 2008). He was Investigator in many European projects (Strengthening Public Health Research in Europe, Public Health Innovation and Research in Europe, Health Risk of Environmental Pollution Levels in Urban Systems). Torre serves also as the President of the EUPHA Section of Public Health Epidemiology and Vice-President of EUPHA Sections’ President Council. He is the author of more than 300 papers published on scientific journals and of academic books on epidemiology, public health, and health technology assessment, in addition to serving as an Editorial Member of Public Health, Journal of Public Health (Springer), and Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine. Torre has a degree in medicine (1990), specialization in hygiene and preventive medicine at University of Naples, Naples, Italy (1994), M.S. degree in epidemiology (1999), and D.S. degree in epidemiology at Erasmus University Rotterdam, Rotterdam, PA, Netherlands (2006).
