Vincent Laude

Vincent Laude graduated from the Ecole Supérieure d'Optique in Orsay, France, in 1990. He obtained a PhD in Optics from Université Paris-Sud in 1994 and the Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches from Université de Franche-Comté in 2002. First active in optical signal processing at the Thomson-CSF Corporate Research Laboratories from 1995 to 1999, he joined the Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS) in 2000 where he is presently a Directeur de Recherche. His research focuses on the propagation of acoustic and optical waves in micro & nanostructures, with a special emphasis on phononic crystals and strongly confined elasto-optical interactions. He was the director of the Micro and Nano Sciences & Systems research department of Institut FEMTO-ST between 2006 and 2009.
