Paul Koltun

CSIRO, Australia

Paul Koltun graduated from Odessa State Academy of Refrigeration, Odessa, Ukraine (with honors Diploma in thermal physics), in 1975. In 1991, Koltun was a postgraduate and obtained his Ph.D. degree from the Research Institute of Refractory Materials, Moscow, Russia. Koltun obtained his M.S. degree in environmental science (ecology, industrial systems, and sustainability) in 2005. From 1991 to 1995, he was a Senior Research Fellow with the Academy of the Industrial & Ecological Safety, Ukraine. Since 1998, Koltun has been serving as a Senior Research Engineer and then became Senior Research/Scientist at CSIRO, Division of Manufacturing, Infrastructure & Technology, Ecological Systems, and Process Science and Engineering. He serves as an Associate Member of the International Academy of Refrigeration and a Member of American Chemical Society. Koltun works also as a certified environmental management system auditor (from SAI Global) and a carbon inventory and carbon reporting auditor (from Swinburne University, Hawthorn, VIC, Australia). Koltun's research interests are focused on thermal physical properties of materials, radiative heat transfer, thermodynamics, and chemical thermodynamics. Currently he is working on the field of sustainable manufacturing, life cycle assessment, and industrial ecology.
