Yongping Li

Yongping Li got her M.A.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Environmental Systems Engineering Program at the University of Regina, Canada. Currently, she is the Associate Dean and Professor of Sino-Canada Resources and Environmental Research Academy at the North China Electric Power University, China. She has established a solid research background and experience in environmental systems analysis, simulation/optimization modeling, environmental pollution control, water resources systems planning, and decision making under uncertainty. She has completed over 30 projects related to environmental management and risk assessment for industries, governments, and international organizations. Dr. Li produced over 150 peer-refereed SCI journal articles, with many of them attracting attentions from world-wide peers. She won Distinguished Young Scientist Award from the International Society for Environmental Information Science (ISEIS) in 2010 and the National Natural Science Funds for Distinguished Young Scholar of China in 2011. She is active in many international forums of environmental engineering and management. She is the Associate Editor of Journal of Environmental Informatics (ISEIS), Editorial Board Members of Environmental Systems Research (Springer), International Journal of Environment and Sustainability (Science Target), Journal of Technology Innovations in Renewable Energy (Lifescience Global), and Journal of Modeling, Simulation, Identification and Control (CIP). With her unique influence in this discipline, she is appointed as the Chair of Technical Commission of Decision Sciences and Operational Research of ISEIS. As a Guest Editor or Lead Guest Editor, Dr. Li also successfully edited several special issues for Petroleum Science and Technology, Journal of Environmental Informatics, Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment, and Mathematical Problems in Engineering.
