Katia Basso, PhD Columbia University, New York, NY, USA Katia Basso received her PhD in Biological Sciences from University of Padua (Italy) in 1997. Her post-doctoral training was focused on the molecular genetics of hematological malignancies. In 2000 she moved to the Institute for Cancer Genetics at Columbia University (New York, NY, USA) to join the group of Riccardo Dalla-Favera. Here, she mastered the integration of molecular biology and computational approaches toward the investigation of B cell lymphomas. Her main research interest is the study of hematological malignancies using genome-wide approaches. Currently she is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Pathology & Cell Biology at Columbia University.
