Marco Sebastiani, M.D., is currently Assistant Professor of Rheumatology at the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia and Consultant Rheumatologist at the Rheumatology Unit of Azienda Policlinico of Modena, Italy. He obtained his medical degree at the University of Pisa, graduating with full marks. He performed his specialisation in Rheumatology at the University of Pisa. He is a member of the scientific board of the Italian Group for the Study of Early Arthritis (GISEA) and of the scientific board of Regione Emilia-Romagna on the biologic drugs in rheumatology. He is a member of the Italian Society of Rheumatology, of the Italian Society of Emorheology and Microcirculation, and of Italian Study Group Against Cryoglobulinemia. His major research interests include inflammatory arthritis, nailfold capillaroscopy, mixed cryoglobulinemia and HCV-related disorders, lung involvement in rheumatic diseases, and scleroderma-spectrum disorders.
