Santanu Ray

Santanu Ray obtained the B.S. and M.S. degrees from Burdwan University and the Ph.D. degree from Calcutta University. Dr. Ray is currently serving as a Professor at the Ecological Modelling Laboratory, Department of Zoology, Visva-Bharati University, Santiniketan, India. Dr. Ray has also worked at Czech Academy of Science, University of South Bohemia, Czech Republic, University of Copenhagen, Denmark, and Odum School of Ecology, University of Georgia, USA. Dr. Ray's research areas include system ecology, theoretical, static, dynamic, and structural dynamic models of mangrove and estuarine systems, and integrated ecosystem theories. Dr. Ray has published more than 100 papers in referred journals and books and edited books. Dr. Ray has been an Associate Editor of the journal Ecological Modelling, Elsevier. Dr. Ray has been an Editorial Board Member for Ecological Informatics, Elsevier; Network Biology and Computational Ecology and Software, IAEES; and Journal of Ecosystem, Hindawi publishing Corporation.
