Hamid Jalab received his B.S. degree in electrical engineering from the University of Technology, Baghdad, Iraq, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in computer system from the Odessa National Polytechnic University, Odessa, Ukraine. He currently works as a Senior Lecturer in the Faculty of Computer Science and Information Technology at the University of Malaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. His areas of research interest include mathematical computing, signal processing, digital image processing, wavelets, neural networks, and image retrieval. His research work has been published in several international journals and conference publications. Dr. Jalab is a Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
