Romain Debret received a Ph.D. degree in 2005 from the University of Reims, Reims, France, in the Laboratory of Dermatology headed by Professor Philippe Bernard. He serves as a CNRS Researcher at the French National Center for Scientific Research, Paris, France. He acquired specific skills in molecular and cellular biology with regard to gene regulation processes in melanoma and T cells. From 2006 to 2008, Debret participated in the European Program ELASTAGE as a Postdoc to study the regulation of genes coding for skin extracellular matrix components, with age-related deregulation of elastic fibres as paradigm. In 2008, he joined the CNRS with a scientific project dealing with biomechanical and biochemical microenvironment signals interplay on the epigenetic regulation of extracellular matrix-related genes and dermal cells reprogramming. Debret is a Member of the French Society of Dermatological Research (SRD).
