Qingmin Li is currently a full professor and Vice Dean of School of Electrical Engineering at Shandong University, China. He graduated from Tsinghua University, Beijing, China, where he got his degrees of BSc (1991), MSc (1994) and PhD (1999) in electrical engineering. He worked at Tsinghua University as a lecturer in 1996, and came to the UK in early 2000 as a postdoctoral research fellow working at Liverpool University and later at Strathclyde University till early 2003. He joined the University of Strathclyde again in 2008 as the Sir David Anderson Bequest Fellowship for three-month visiting research, and from early 2010 he has been a visiting professor at Arizona State University, USA. He is a Working member of CIGRE WG C4.208, and is a member of both IEEE and IET. His special fields of interest include high-voltage engineering, high-voltage power electronics, renewable generation, power system EMC, condition monitoring and fault diagnostics, etc.
