Roberto Romero-Gonzalez received a degree in chemistry and the Ph.D. degree (summa cum laude) from the Granada University, Spain, in 1997 and 2002, respectively. From 2003 to 2005, he worked at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Lund University. Since 2005, he has been working at the Department of Analytical Chemistry, Almeria University, Spain. His main research lines include the application of chromatographic methods coupled to mass-spectrometry detection for the determination of pesticide residues, veterinary drug residues, mycotoxins, PAHs, PCBs, and phenolic compounds in environmental and food samples as well as the determination of phytochemicals in several types of food, applying chromatographic techniques coupled to mass-spectrometry detection.
