Ping Wu obtained the Ph.D. degree in medicine in July 2009, the M.S. degree in medicine in July 2000, and the B.S. degree in medicine in July 1985. Wu is currently a Professor in Chengdu University of TCM, Sichuan, China, and Vice Chief Doctor in the Affiliated Hospital of the university. Wu worked from July 1985 to October 2011 as an Assistant Professor, Lecturer, and Associate Professor in Chengdu University of TCM and Vice Chief Doctor in Affiliated Hospital of the University. Since January 2014, Wu has been the Principal Investigator of the Research on Moxibustion Inhibition RA Synovial Pannus Formation of VEGF Molecular Signaling Mechanism Project, supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant no. 81373738), and, from January 2010 to December 2013, Wu was the Principal Investigator of the Research of Functional Integration among Brain Areas Underlying Yisuitongqiao Acupuncture for Treating Ischemic Stroke Project, supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China (Grant no. 81072864).
