Kuei-Ping Shih received the Ph.D. degree in computer science and information engineering from the National Central University, Taiwan, Republic of China, in June 1998. Currently, he is a Professor at the Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering, Tamkang University, Taiwan. He was a Visiting Scholar at the Iowa State University, Iowa, USA, in 2011. He serves as an Executive Editor of Journal of Applied Science and Engineering (JASE, EI-indexed). He is also in the Editorial Board of The Scientific World Journal (SCI-indexed, IF=1.524). In addition, he served as a Guest Editor of the special issues for the International Journal of Wireless and Mobile Computing (IJWMC) and Tamkang Journal of Science and Engineering (TKJSE), and as a Track Chair, Area Chair, or Program Committee for several international conferences. His current research interests include network protocol designs for wireless LANs, broadband wireless access systems, underwater acoustic networks, wireless sensor networks, and mobile ad hoc networks. He is a Member of the IEEE Computer Society, the IEEE Communication Society, and the Phi Tau Phi Scholastic Honor Society.
