Menghua Tao graduated and obtained his M.S. degree from Shanghai Medical University, Shanghai, China. In 2006, he obtained the Ph.D. degree in epidemiology from University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Calif, USA. Now, he is an Instructor of epidemiology at Institute for Translational Epidemiology, Tisch Cancer Institute, Mount Sinai School of Medicine (currently Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai). He is also an adjunct Research Assistant Professor at Department of Social and Preventive Medicine, University at Buffalo. His research focuses on molecular epidemiology and cancer epidemiology. His primary research interest is on evaluation of the role of environmental, lifestyle-related factors, genetic/ epigenetic factors, and gene-environment interaction in etiology of cancers, especially cancers in women.
