Jwo-Huei Jou joined National Tsing Hua University (NTHU), Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 1988, as an Associate Professor at the Department of Material Science and Engineering. He was the Department Chairperson from 2006 to 2009. He also served as the President of the Chinese Organic Electronics Association and as an active Member of Engineering Ethics Committee of the Chinese Engineers Association. Professor Jou received his B.S. degree from the Department of Chemical Engineering, NTHU, in 1980, and his Ph.D. degree from Macromolecular Science and Engineering Program, University of Michigan, USA, in 1986. After that, he worked for IBM as a Postdoctoral Visiting Scientist at Almaden Research Centre, USA. Professor Jou has been working on organic light emitting diode (OLED) for 19 years. His research interests include the development of sunlight-style OLEDs, high-efficiency low-color temperature OLEDs, flexible OLEDs, long-lifetime OLEDs, thin-film stress analysis, and polymers and expert system applications. His research on sunlight-style color-temperature tunable OLED is internationally recognized. He is the author of over 100 international peer-reviewed journal papers. Professor Jou also has filed or applied over 50 patents including 12 US patents. He has delivered more than 25 talks as an invited or plenary speaker in international conferences over the past five years.
