Felix Bermejo-Pareja obtained his Medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine, Complutense University of Madrid (UCM), Madrid, Spain. He works as the Head of the Neurology Department, University Hospital, Spain, and an Associate Professor of medicine at UCM. He received a research grant from FIS (Spanish Biomedical Research), NEDICES-2, cohort study with biobank (blood, urine, and saliva), as well as a research grant from the UE Research Project (NeuroTREMOR), NIH tremor Grant (US), NIH R01 NS039422, as a coinvestigator. Bermejo-Pareja has published 275 papers in medline journals (currently signed as bermejo-pareja f and previously as bermejo f, bermejo fp, or bermejo f-p). He has served as an editor or coeditor of 26 monographs and books (ISBN) and more than 130 divulgate papers (mainly in Spanish). His key professional areas of publication include general neurology, neuropsychology, neuroepidemiology, and neurodegenerative disorders (citations: near 5,000; IF: more than 500; h-index: 26; research patents: 3). Current research interests include Alzheimer disease and neurodegenerative disorders. Bermejo-Pareja is a Member and former President (1998–2000) of Spanish Society of Neurology, a Member of the American Academy of Neurology (until 2012), an Editor of Revista de Neurología (2007–10), and an Editorial Board Member of Medicina Clínica and Neuroepidemiology
