Marco Gianinetto

Marco Gianinetto is an Adjunct Professor of geographic information systems and remote sensing at the Politecnico di Milano University, Milano, Italy. He received the M.S. (Laurea) degree in environmental engineering and the Ph.D. degree in geodesy and geomatics (summa cum laude) from the Politecnico di Milano University, Milano, Italy, in 2000 and 2006, respectively. His main research interests include multispectral remote sensing, hyperspectral remote sensing, and high resolution satellites data processing. He conducts research on these topics within the framework of several national and international projects. He is the author (or coauthor) of more than 40 technical publications in I&CT and more than 35 scientific publications in remote sensing, including journals, book chapters, and conference proceedings. He is a Member of ISPRS, ASPRS, IEEE, GRSS, RSPSoc, AIT, and SIFET. He is a Referee for many international journals, a Committee Member of many international conferences, a Member of the Editorial Board of the Italian Journal of Remote Sensing (AIT), an Associate Editor of the Journal of Applied Remote Sensing (SPIE), and an Associate Editor of the Internation Journal of Navigation and Observation.
