Fabrizio Conti is an Associate Professor of rheumatology at the Sapienza University of Rome, Rome, Italy. Conti qualified in medicine and surgery at Sapienza University of Rome. Dr. Conti obtained his Ph.D. degree in experimental immunology. Since September 2008, Professor Conti has been the Manager of the Lupus Clinic and since 2016 he has been the Manager of the Arthritis Center, Policlinico Umberto I, Sapienza University of Rome. Moreover, Conti is a Fellow of the Italian Society of Rheumatology (SIR), a Member of the Standing Committee of SIR, and a Member of the SIR Study Group on Neuropsychiatric Systemic Lupus Erythematosus. Dr. Conti was also a Visiting Professor at the Arthritis Research UK Centre for Epidemiology, Institute of Inflammation and Repair, University of Manchester, Manchester, UK. In addition, Conti has led various clinical trials on autoimmune rheumatic diseases, including systemic lupus erythematosus. Professor Conti’s major research focus is on systemic lupus erythematosus as well as antiphospholipid syndrome, rheumatoid arthritis, and other autoimmune rheumatic diseases (etiopathogenesis, clinical features, and treatment). Furthermore, Professor Conti has authored over 130 publications on issues relating to autoimmune rheumatic diseases.
