Hamidi Abdul Aziz

Hamidi Abdul Aziz works as a Professor of environmental engineering at the School of Civil Engineering, Universiti Sains Malaysia, George Town, Malaysia. He has over 20 years of teaching experience at the same school. Dr. Abdul Aziz received his Ph.D. degree in civil engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, in 1992. He is the Editor-in-Chief of the Caspian Journal of Applied Sciences Research (CJASR) and the International Journal of Scientific Research in Environmental Sciences (IJSRES). He is the Managing Editor for the International Journal of Environment and Waste Management (IJEWM) and the International Journal of Environmental Engineering (IJEE). Abdul Aziz has published over 200 refereed articles in professional journals/proceedings and currently serves as the editorial board member for over 8 international journals. His research has focused on alleviating problems related to water pollution issues from industrial wastewater discharge and solid waste management via landfilling, especially on leachate pollution. He also has interests in biodegradation and bioremediation of oil spills.
