Elisabetta Pace

Elisabetta Pace was born in Palermo, Italy, in 1963. She received the M.D. degree (summa cum laude) from University of Palermo Medical School, Palermo, Italy, in 1988. In 1992, she obtained a Diploma in pulmonary diseases (cum laude), from the same university. She works as a Senior Researcher of Italian National Research Council. She authored 40 articles and serves as a Reviewer in several peer-reviewed journals. She is a Member of European Respiratory Society and of Global Allergy Asthma European Network. She serves as a Principal Investigator in clinical trials and in scientific projects regarding allergic disorders including bronchial asthma. She is mainly interested in the molecular mechanisms of specific drugs as well as in the innate immunity responses and in the immune regulatory mechanisms in allergic and asthmatic patients.
