Eduard Galstyan was born in Yerevan, Armenia,in 1974. He received the M.S. degree in solid state physics from the Yerevan State University, Armenia and the Ph.D. degree in physics from the Racah Institute of Physics, The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel in 1996 and 2005, respectively. From 2005 to 2010, E. Galstyan worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Texas Center for Superconductivity, University of Houston (TcSUH), USA. Presently, he serves as a Research Scientist in the TcSUH and Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Houston. Galstyan is mainly interested in 1) high TC superconductivity (SC), magnetosuperconducting materials, and SC-coated conductors; 2) magnetism and structural properties of bulk and nanoparticles; 3) magnetic evaluation of strongly correlated electron systems, especially multiferroic materials.
