Wen-Fu Lee

Wen Fu Lee received his B.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1976 from Tatung University, Taipei, Taiwan, and an M.S. degree in chemical engineering in 1984 from National Taiwan University of Science and Technology. Then, he started to serve as a lecturer in 1984 at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tatung University and became an Associate Professor in 1989. Since 1995, he is a Full Professor at the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tatung University. Now, he is the Chairman of the Department of Chemical Engineering of Tatung University. The major research area of Professor Lee includes polyblends and polymer synthesis in the earlier stage and water-soluble polymer, superabsorbent polymeric materials, smart hydrogel materials, and so forth. Since 1988, Lee has frequently received the Research Award of National Science Council of Republic of China. At the same time, he also received the Excellent Paper Award from Tatung Company and Tatung University from 2001 to 2007. At 2002, he received the Best Paper Award from Journal Polymer Research (JPR) of the Polymer Society, Taipei, Taiwan. Currently, he is a Member of the Polymer Society, the Chemical Society, and the Biomaterials and Controlled Release Society of Taiwan. At present, he serves as a Committee Member of the 2008 Annual Conference of Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine International Society–Asian Pacific Region (2008 TERMIS–AP), the 2008 Taiwan/Korea/Japan Chemical Engineering Conference, and the 55th Annual Conference of Taiwan Institute of Chemical Engineers (2008 TKJ).
