Andrea Canellada

Andrea Canellada was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1967. She received her Biochemistry degree and her Ph.D. degree in immunology from the University of Buenos Aires, in 1992 and 2000, respectively. Since 1993, Dr. Canellada is a Member of the Laboratory of Reproductive Immunology, at the IDEHU (CONICET-National Council of Scientific and Technological Research) and Teacher of Immunology, at the Faculty of Pharmacy and Biochemistry, University of Buenos Aires (currently, teacher in charge of assignments). Since 1999, she has been a Member of the Immunology Society, Argentina. In 1993 and 1996, Dr. Canellada got the Initiation and Improvement Research Fellowships from CONICET. In 2001 she was awarded with the Bernardo A Hussay Pize from CEDIQUIFA, Argentine. From 2002 to 2006 she was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the CBM-SO (Center of Molecular Biology) and CNIC (National Center of Cardiovascular Investigations) Carlos III, in Madrid, Spain. Since 2008, Dr. Canellada is member of the CONICET-Scientific Investigator Career. She is reviewer of CONICET and ANPCyT research projects from Argentina. Her expertise area is reproductive immunology, and her current interest address regulation of gene expression at the materno-fetal interface, as well as regulation of the autoimmune disease during pregnancy.
