Anca Duta is a Professor at the Transilvania University of Brasov, Brasov, Romania and the Research Manager of the R&D Institute. Her expertise is in solar energy materials with a focus on thin semiconductors layers used in the development of solid state solar cells, solar-thermal coatings, photoelectrodes, and photocatalysis. Since 2004, she is a Ph.D. degree supervisor in material sciences. She published over 200 papers (among which over 100 are indexed in ISI Thompson, h=10) and was involved in 36 grants financed at European and national levels, among which she coordinated 21 grants. She was a Member of the National Research Council for Higher Education (2008–2011) and the National Consultative R&D Commission for New Materials and Nano-Technologies (2008–2012), and she is currently a Project Technical Advisor (PTA) for EU-FP7/NMP projects (nanomaterials and processes) and a Member of the Energy EU Commission (SET). She is a peer reviewer for 13 ISI journals and a Member of the Editorial Board of the Environmental Engineering and Management Journal. She is a Member of IEEE Society, Association of Plastics Engineers, Romanian Chemistry Society, and Romanian Corrosion Society.
