Shih-Chieh Chueh received the M.D. degree (summa cum laude) and the Ph.D. degree from Taiepi Medical University and National Taiwan University in 1989 and 2002, respectively. He did a kidney transplant Fellowship at UT-Houston under Professor Barry Kahan (1996-1997). Being the first Surgeon in Taiwan to perform a successful laparoscopic live donor nephrectomy (LDN), he spreaded it to China and Philippines. In 2010, he successfully advanced it to single site LESS-LDN as the UNOS Primary Surgeon of CAMC, WV kidney transplant program. He is now serving as a Clinical Professor of surgery, Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine, Staff of Glickman Urological and Kidney Institute, and Transplant Center, Cleveland Clinic Foundation and also as a Professor of urology, National Taiwan University. All these originalities and creativity have been attested by academic publications in highly cited peer-reviewed journals. He has more than 130 peer-reviewed SCI articles and also serves on the editorial boards of 2 SCI journals (Tx Proc and JMFA) and as an Invited Reviewer for several other SCI journals.
