Specificity for core binding sequences of four ZPTs. Four ZPT peptides—ZPT2-14ZF (a), ZPT2-7ZFB (b), ZPT2-8ZFB (c), and ZPT2-2ZF (d)—were tested for binding activities to AGT-10-AGT and its mutant sequences with one-base substitutions in the core sites. Fractions of bound DNA are shown as relative values to the bound fraction for AGT-10-AGT, with representative electrophoretic patterns above them. The data represent averages of four experiments, with bars representing standard deviations. The probes are essentially the same as AGT-10-AGT in Figure 3 except for the mutated bases as indicated by lowercase letters.
