Starting case for the experiments on the uncertainties on the retrieved SFH due to different factors. In (a) we show an artificial population of stars generated with constant SFR, Salpeter IMF, constant metallicity 𝑍=0.004 [23], (𝑚−𝑀)₀=18.9, 𝐸(𝐵−𝑉)=0.08, and the HST/ACS errors and completeness of the photometry in the SMC field NGC602 [27]. In (b) the input (solid line) and the recovered (dotted) SFH are compared.
