The probability distribution function of CMB temperature fluctuations induced by NG cosmic strings. The orange curves quantify systematic errors coming from the string simulations by including nonscaling loops, or by removing all loops. Deviations from Gaussianity are clearly apparent in the tails of the distribution, as well as from the negative skewness.
