Frequency dependence of the excess of the kurtosis of the SMHW coefficients. The plot shows the variation of the kurtosis as a function of the scale for cleaned CMB maps obtained from the WMAP data at three cosmological frequencies (-, -, and -bands), and for the optimal CMB cleaned map provided by WMAP, as noise-weighted combinations of the previous maps (the QVW map). The coloured regions represent, as for other figures, the 32%, 5% and 1% acceptance intervals provided by simulations.
