Piezometric head evolution at piezometer no. 103, the location of which is indicated in Figure 4. Results are shown for the prior ensemble and for the updated fields after assimilating the piezometric heads in the first 60 time steps (67 days) using the localized NS-EnKF. The circles represent the piezometric heads in the reference field. Note that this well is used as observation well only in scenarios 2 and 6; in the other scenarios it serves as a validation well.
