Screening of glycosyltransferase activities. Recombinant protein is tested for glycosyltransferase activity in the presence of broad range of donor-substrates and acceptor-mixture (1). Acceptor molecule is identified by analyzing the product made on the acceptor-mixture in (1) by testing susceptibility to structure-specific hydrolases and/or testing structure-defined oligosaccharides for the glycosyltransferase activity (2).
