Fuzzy Logic Applications in Control Theory and Systems Biology

Description

Since its original conception was proposed by Lofti A. Zadeh in 1965, research in fuzzy sets and fuzzy logic has steadily advanced with various thriving fields, for example, type 1 fuzzy sets, type 2 fuzzy sets, Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy models, fuzzy neural networks, and many applications in academic and real-world areas.

This special issue is intended to be an international forum for researchers to contribute original research articles showing new trends in the development of fuzzy logic applications in control theory, systems biology, and the intersection of these two areas. We are also interested in review articles that summarize the state of the art of this topic, showing the most recent developments, discoveries, and significant ideas in the field. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:

  • Linear control systems
  • Nonlinear control systems
  • Adaptive control systems
  • Intelligent control systems
  • Robust control systems
  • Biomedical applications
  • Computational systems biology
  • Computational proteomics
  • Microarray data analysis
  • Metabolic engineering
  • Synthetic biology
  • Biological complex network analysis and prediction

Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/afs/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
