High Performance Fuzzy Systems for Real World Problems
Description
There exists a wide variety of fuzzy-based applications for consumer electronics that must satisfy real time constrains for processing data at high speed, as well as large quantities of data containing uncertainty from different sources that often cannot be adequately modeled and/or handled by Type 1 fuzzy sets.
We invite investigators to contribute original research articles that show the new trends to develop high performance applications that in general use fuzzy sets and exploit new technologies to reduce computational complexity of applications. We are also interested in review articles that sum up the state of the art of this topic, showing recent major advances and discoveries, significant gaps in the research, current debates, and ideas that show where research might go next. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
- Successful new applications of Type 1 and Type 2 fuzzy systems for real world problems, where the effectiveness of high performance computing implemented in FPGA, ASICs, multicore devices, and GPU accelerated systems that clearly demonstrate the advantages of using such technologies
- Development of novel learning methods for Type 1 and Type 2 fuzzy systems devoted to exploit the architecture of high performance devices
Before submission authors should carefully read over the journal's Author Guidelines, which are located at http://www.hindawi.com/journals/afs/guidelines/. Prospective authors should submit an electronic copy of their complete manuscript through the journal Manuscript Tracking System at http://mts.hindawi.com/ according to the following timetable:
