The variation of (a) 𝐹_𝑅𝐻𝜃(𝐸,𝜃), defined in the text with 𝜃 for 𝐸=1.5 GeV, (b) with 𝐸 for 𝜃=𝜋/4 for virtual heavy quarks (colour online). The results displayed in this figure are evaluated for heavy quark mass, 𝑚=1.27 GeV, and emitted gluon energy, 𝑘₀=20MeV and 𝛽=0.5. The quark virtuality is defined as 𝑉²=𝐸²−𝛽²𝐸²−𝑚².
